I was ready to change
Being overweight most of my life, I always wanted to lose weight. But it takes a certain level of motivation that I struggled to find for quite some time. Eventually, a catalyst had come out. In the late winter of 2021, I was professionally photographed at my mother's wedding. The photos came back and when I saw my appearance in them, I felt a certain level of distaste that I hadn't quite reached with myself just yet. Then I decided that I had to change.
Now this was certainly not my first attempt to lose weight. I've had stints with working out, eating better, and actively trying to lose weight. However this go-around, I decided to start with a plan.
My first plan of action was to establish my goal. I wanted to lose 100 lbs over two years.
Once I had a target, I decided to set a start date. Giving me a few months time to prepare both with research and mentally for the task I was wanting to take on. I set my start date to June 11th, 2021. The day I moved into my newest housing lease with the idea of starting new habits in a new home.
May, 2022
Starting out slow, I simply did whatever I could to consistently put myself in the gym at a minimum of three days a week. As results started to come in, and my comfort levels in the gym began to rise, I slowly amped up my rate to work out 5-6 days a week while resting as needed to not cause overtraining or injury.
I averaged a pace of about 10 lbs lost a month over the span of roughly a year. Motivated by my goals and my already achieved progress. I felt an unexplainable amount of joy and self-worth when finally reaching a mark I had wanted for most of my life. Still, I had committed two years to bettering my body. With a comfortable weight, I shifted my training more to a sustainable lifestyle. Keeping consistency while constantly pressing my abilities to learn all the intricacies of muscle growth, cardio-fitness, flexibility, and stability.
My story is still not under wraps, but I've certainly opened a new chapter. After achieving my goals and feeling comfortable in my own skin. Now I seek to guide others down a familiar path. Using all the experience I developed in my own journey, I am certain that I can help those that need a little extra push or motivation to achieve their goals.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND!
Everyone's body is different. The way we process food, the way we respond to stress, and the way that our muscles grow. The goal is to get a better understanding of your body's strengths and limitations. From there, you can build yourself up to a sustainable routine that will help YOU reach the goals you want.
I hope that my story has inspired or given at least a little insight into the thoughts behind kicking off a total transformation. If you have any questions, concerns, or would like an experienced hand to guide you please feel free to reach out.
